Friends, it is with profound sadness that I post this news. Fiona, after many years, finally lost her fight with cancer. Many of you may not have known she was ill, and so that is how we should remember her. Fiona lived  her life not defined by cancer, but despite it. Her creativity, story telling, laughter, humility and compassion inspired and enriched us all.

We are surrounded now by friends and family. Fiona asked that instead of flowers, we look to our community and consider a donation to the Vancouver Public Library (https://vplf.ca/fiona-curtis-fund/) in her name.

In following with Fiona’s wishes, there will be no memorial. Instead, we ask that each of you find your families and friends and celebrate her life by telling each other stories and sharing a meal or a drink.
