Agnes Marie Leret passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on September 18, 2026, after a brief struggle with cancer. Her family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care she received at the North Vancouver Hospice.
Agnes held fond memories of growing up in the historic mining community of Mount Sheer, British Columbia, alongside her father Sverre, her mother Ester, and her sister Margit, where her father worked at the Britannia Copper Mine.
A proud graduate of St. Paul’s School of Nursing, Agnes enjoyed many adventures working overseas as a nurse before returning home to dedicate her career to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Grace Women’s Hospital.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her sister Margit (Charles); her nieces and nephews Jeannette, Vashti, David (Suzie), and Carolyn (Tara); and her grandnephews and niece Miles (Carolyn), Raushan, Cameron, and Tyson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at #103-250 East 11th Street, North Vancouver, BC, V7L 2G7 on Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes’s name to a charity of your choice.
