It is with great sadness we announce that on January 12th, 2026, Amanda Charlotte Mckenna of Vancouver, British Columbia, passed away peacefully at age 41.
Amanda was a beautiful soul. She loved nature and was always drawn to the ocean. She had such a spiritual connection to animals. Her love and compassion for her animals was undeniable. She cared for a variety of critters during her life and spent many volunteer hours rescuing and caring for them.
She is now reunited with her step-mom, grandparents, the rest of her loved ones, and the past animals she cared for.
Amanda will be deeply missed by her father, Kevin Mckenna; step-sisters, Roxanna (Scott), and Christina (Benny); four nieces and two nephews; the love of her life, Sheila; her beloved pigeon, Beauty; and the rest of her many family and friends who’s soul was touched by her.
We will be hosting a celebration of life in Vancouver, British Columbia, at Whytecliff Park West Vancouver. The cremation burial will be in Edmonton, Alberta at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Date and time will be posted soon.
