Anthony Wing Yun Lee, 56

It is with great sadness that we inform everyone of the sudden passing of our brother Anthony Lee on December 22, 2016. He was 56 years young.

A unique, kind-hearted individual, Anthony lived life his own way. There was never any middle ground for him and he made sure he packed several life times into his short but colourful life. We are grateful to have travelled part of his journey with him.

Anthony is survived by his beloved daughter Jessica Lee, parents, Amy and Philip Lee and brothers, Thomas, Jonathan and Timothy Lee, sister-in-laws, Xiao Wen, Kim and Erin Lee and nephews, Alexander, Brian, Colin, Cameron, Daniel and Jamieson Lee.

The world was a brighter place with him in it and a darker one now that he’s gone.

Anthony will always be in our hearts. He will truly be missed.

In lieu of flowers we would like to support Anthony’s daughter, Jessica, through an education fund set up in her name.  The fund will be administered by her Uncle Jon and Aunt Kim.  Donations can be made in person at any TD Canada Trust (Transit #02120 Account #6490234) or by cheque made out to “Jessica Lee in Trust” sent to Kim and Jon’s attention:

Unit 127 – 3031 Williams Road, Richmond, BC V7E 4G1

We thank everyone for your contributions in his honour.

We invite you to watch the video tribute put together by Anthony’s brother, Tim.

My heart goes out to Auntie Amy, Uncle Philip, and all the Lee brothers. Anthony and his brothers are my second cousins. I have such fond memories of the family and am extremely sad to hear about his premature passing. The Lee brothers are a lot older than I am, but I will always remember how they always had the time and patience to entertain me as a little girl. I was a toddler when they were in their late teens and early 20s. It’s a testament to how wonderful this entire family is. The Lees are in my thoughts and my heart in this difficult time.

I knew Anthony in junior high and bumped into him once years later and then he and Don Reid fixed my mom’s car. It is hard to explain how such little contact could create such strong feelings. Anthony has a special place in my heart and will always be remembered as a kind, loving, fun and gentle person. Rest in peace, sweet Anthony, and may your memory always be for a blessing.
