With great sadness and much love we announce the passing of Barrie, our beloved Husband, Brother, Step Dad, and Grampa. He passed away  at Squamish Hospital, with his family close by. Barrie is survived by his loving wife Donna, brother Micheal (Peg), his four step children Maurine (Al), Jack (Linda), Robert (Judy), Barrie (Sherry), and his nine grand children. He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Reginald Suter.
Barrie was born and raised in Watford England. He began an apprenticeship as a machinist at the age of 16 and continued in this field throughout his working years. Retiring from BC Rail Squamish after 29 years of service. Barrie was a fun loving member of the community, joining clubs and contributing to causes. He enjoyed nothing more than creating a beautiful home with Donna, working their land together, here in Squamish.
Donna and the family wish to thank the medical staff at Squamish hospital and all of the community care staff who came to the home.
A Celebration of Life was held July 3rd 2017 at 4:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 277. 40194 Glenalder Pl. Garibaldi Highlands.

    On behalf of Maria Isabel, Fernanda, Ivone and myself, I want to share our deepest condolences to Donna and her family. Barry was a prominent part of our time for so many years here on Finch. His passion and influence in the community will be deeply missed.
