The family and friends of Cara Adensamer are heartbroken to announce her passing on the 20thof April, 2018. Cara will be deeply missed by her younger brother Jackson, her parents Cindy Jeklin and Ray Adensamer, her Omas, her cousins, her aunts and uncles and her many beloved friends – both old and new.

Cara was born in Vancouver on the 3rdof March, 1999, and grew up in Kitsilano. She was intelligent, insightful and independent with a unique combination of artistic creative talent equally matched by her strong analytical and logical mind. Throughout her short 19 years Cara always had big hopes and dreams. She had an endless curiosity and an insatiable desire to travel and see the world and was always one step ahead meticulously planning and organizing her next adventure and challenging those around her to keep up with the vision. Cara excelled in the arts and academics and had just successfully completed her first year at the Sauder School of Business at UBC, balancing the academic demands of a difficult programme with community and social involvement through her sorority Alpha Delta Pi. Despite her many talents and accomplishments, Cara did not always realize how special she was or of how much she was loved and valued by the different people in her life.

A Ceremony of Remembrance will be held for Cara’s friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, online donations in Cara’s name may be made to the “Cara Adensamer Memorial Award at the Sauder School of Business at UBC” at  https://memorial.support.ubc.ca/cara-adensamer

A delightful young lady, gone way too soon. We will always remember her smile and the memories we shared together. Our words these days do not express the deep sadness her passing brought to our lives. Cara, may you rest peacefully and know you will ALWAYS be in our hearts. Your family in Lockport, New York, USA

Cara had so many beautiful gifts – including a loving family who cherished her and steadfastly supported Cara’s plans and aspirations. It is tragic that her life ended just as she was growing into a beautiful young woman with so much to share with the world. We embrace Cara and her family in our aching hearts.

    Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

    Love , Nataliya

I find it very hard to comprehend and accept that the life of my beautiful, talented granddaughter, Cara has suddenly been cut so short. She had her whole life ahead of her to experience and enjoy. Her many dreams will not be realized. We are taught to accept what we cannot change and trust in the Lord. May God grant Cara Peace and keep her in His loving care. To Raymond, Cindy and Jackson I pray that God gives you strength and thankful hearts for having had her in your lives. The memories and love for Cara will comfort and sustain us all. We will never forget you.

Cara was magic- she is remembered by everyone in our family as bright and inquisitive. She was never at a loss for words when she was traveling in our van! She always added verve and joy when she was around our family and had lots of patience and time to play with the younger siblings. We will miss Cara. We are thinking of your family everyday.

Dora and I remember Cara from our short time together at Madrona School. Cara was so smart, so energetic, so artistic and athletic, ten steps ahead of all of us. I think of her drawing dogs and solving insane math puzzles. We are shocked and saddened to hear of your loss and send our best wishes to your whole family.

Cara is a very lovely girl and I love her as a friend. She is an amazing person, kind, and very helpful person. Cara is a very responsible person and she never gives up. She always smiles and likes getting along with others. We had a great time working at Summer at ST. George’s together. She is one of the best Rec Leaders better then me I would give her a 10/10 for lots of hard work effort for it I’m so proud of her that she’s a wonderful sweet girl. I will miss Cara as always friends forever. You are a good friend Cara I really appreciate you helping me while I was having a hard time as a Rec Leader and I would want to say thanks. I will never forget you Cara. I received my black belt from March and I’m hoping that you are proud of me I will always work hard for you.
