I remember Joycelyn as my very glamorous cousin who came to visit us in about 1953 with Auntie Nellie. I was about 7 years old and remember thinking she was just like a film star.

Joycelyn was an intelligent and resolute lady who experienced and overcame much sadness in her life span. As a 6 year old, due to WW2 she spent 6 years separated from her parents and In her twenties a fatal accident the result of which resulted in the loss of the boy she was about to marry. She found happiness with Wally, her devoted husband and Svengally. Sadly through illness he passed away leaving a great void which good friends helped to fill and earned our gratitude. Thanks to the wonderful technology bridging the distance between our two countries, we could have regular contact which allowed us to draw closer together. I cherish the two weeks when we met in 1992 in Vancouver.

Joycelyn was a much loved cousin and will be sorely missed.
