It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother.

Mom was born December 14, 1935, on a family farm near Lipton Saskatchewan, the youngest of 12 siblings. Mom spoke often and with great joy about her fun and happy childhood, being spoiled by all her sisters and brothers. She is survived by three, Harvey (Edyth) Vera and Irma.

Mom met her husband Reuben at her sister Alma’s where he boarded while teaching. They married and moved to Edmonton where they had Bradley. Mom and Dad subsequently called Moose Jaw, Regina and Medicine Hat home before eventually retiring in Kelowna where they built the home of their dreams. Brad and his wife Olga visited often to everyone’s delight, and the visits and joy for Mom increased when grandsons Sean and Stephen arrived in the picture. Mom made friends easily wherever she went. Mom loved the flowers and birds in her yard with a view. She walked, played scrabble and graciously hosted many family members and friends. Mom was happiest when people were around, and she loved looking after her grandkids and grand doggies. Mom loved music, had a beautiful voice and could remember all the songs from her childhood until the end.

Mom was afflicted with Alzheimer’s the last few years of her life, but underneath it all remained the woman we all loved. She slipped away peacefully on June 22, 2019 with her devoted husband at her side.

We will miss you Mom!
