Patricia “Patti” Ann Gallacher, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2026, at Richmond Hospital, surrounded by friends and family. She was predeceased by her mother, Ann, and her father, Percy, who both passed away in 1980; her brother Dan, who passed away in Kelowna in 2018; and her brother Bob, who passed away in Vancouver in 2024. She is survived by her nieces, nephews, their families, and cousins living in Canada, the US, and Mexico.
In 1950, Patti moved to Vancouver with her mother and two brothers, living in Kitsilano for many years. Though Patti never married or had children of her own, her life was richly filled by her faith in a loving God and her many family members and friends. Patti had a successful working career as a court stenographer. She loved to dance, write, draw, sing, and make others laugh. She possessed a keen, observant mind, overcame many struggles in her life, and was proud to be a courageous, independent person.
In remembrance, Patti asks that you talk with a child, smile at a senior, and enjoy a pet.
There will be a simple scattering of ashes on July 15th, 2026, at 10:00 am at Elje Point (by the Vancouver Maritime Museum) in Kitsilano Park in Vancouver. (The tide will be out, so please wear water-friendly shoes.)
