It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Randi Aud Eriks, who passed away peacefully in North Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 23, 2026, one day before her 83rd birthday.
Randi was born on July 24, 1943, in Norway to Rasmus and Jenny Nygaard. In 1966, she married David Eriks, and together they built a family that became the greatest joy of her life. Though she made Canada her home, she always treasured her Norwegian roots.
A devoted mother, Randi loved her three daughters with all her heart. As her family grew, she embraced her role as a grandmother with immense love and joy. Her eight grandchildren were her pride and joy, and some of her happiest moments were spent with them at her condo in Point Roberts – affectionately known by the family as “Grandma’s Beach House”. Those days at the beach created memories that her family will cherish forever.
Randi had a generous and creative spirit. She delighted in making beautifully decorated gingerbread houses each Christmas, lovingly giving them to family, friends, neighbours, acquaintances, and even strangers. She was also an avid crafter, especially enjoying plastic canvas stitching. Over the years, she created countless Noah’s Arks, Nativity sets, and handmade toys for children, each one given as an expression of love and kindness.
Those who knew Randi will remember her beautiful laugh, her wonderful sense of humour, her gentle heart, and the calm, peaceful presence she brought wherever she went. Throughout life’s challenges, she demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience while always putting others before herself.
Randi raised her family in North Vancouver before moving to False Creek, where she lived for nearly 30 years. Earlier this year, she returned to North Vancouver, where she received the care and support she needed during her final months.
A woman of deep faith, Randi was an active member of Pentecostal churches throughout her life. Her faith was a guiding force, and she found lasting friendship, encouragement, and community through her church family. She was especially blessed by the enduring friendship of Alta and Barb, who remained among her closest friends for more than 50 years. Their constant love and support were a treasured gift throughout her life.
Randi is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Esther Conibear (Crag), Elaine Bowron (Mike), and Susan March (Sean); her cherished grandchildren Sarah Bowron, Jaime Conibear, Matthew Bowron, Jennifer March, Kevin Bowron, Chelsea Conibear, Allison March, and Rebecca March; her brother, Finn Nygaard (Donna); her sister, Arlene Duncan (Glenn); and by many extended family members, dear friends, and members of the church communities that meant so much to her. She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Pedersen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at The Loft Church, 2640 248th St., Aldergrove. Family and friends who knew and loved Randi are warmly invited to join us in celebrating her life.

Randi’s greatest legacy is the love she poured into her family, her unwavering faith, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and quiet compassion. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of those who knew her.
