Rick passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2024 at age 76 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honour his legacy by living their lives to the fullest just like Rick always did.

Rick spent most of his adult life in the ship agency business, eventually owning and running a very successful company. Along the way he met so many wonderful people who enriched his life and he their lives. After retiring 10 years ago, Rick could be found following his true passion – his love of golf. Always found golfing with his wife, Anna, they split their time between Richmond, BC, Palm Desert, CA, and St. Andrews, Scotland. It’s where Rick thrived and was happiest – hitting the links!

Our beloved Rick was an amazing husband, and very proud father and grandfather, lovingly called “Jiji” by the young ones. Rick was always supportive of his kids’ endeavours and his dream was that they would live fulfilled and happy lives. He will be lovingly remembered by wife, Anna, children, Ainsley (Oliver), Courtney (Michael) and James (Juliana), and grandchildren, Cassidy, Owen and Kate. “Jiji” will continue to be loved and missed but will always be with us in spirit and in our hearts. He will also be fondly remembered by Janet (Jim), Jaime, Sarah (Neal), Torsten, Greg (Julie), Van, Caroline and Petar, Zdenka (Jarek), Evan and Michelle.

RIP Ricky Ricardo

We will miss Rick so much. He was always kind, always a gentleman and always had a twinkle in his eyes. There are so many fond memories to cherish. Whether we were on the golf course, having dinner or just hanging out, it was always a joy to be with him and Anna. R.I.P., Ricardo. till we meet again…sending lots of love and sympathy to Anna and all of Rick’s family.
