Robert Jones, died on February 23, 2023, at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver.

Robert was a painter, a professional stylist, a jewelry maker, an interior designer, and an athlete. 

He is survived by his husband Don Bury, his mother-in-law, Nancy Bury, his sister-in-law Rhiannon Bury (Luis), Robert’s siblings, George Jones (Judith), Kathy Jones (Paul Daltrop), Peggie Jones (Jim), nieces, Sarah Daltrop (James) and Shira Daltrop (Will) and great nieces, Lilah and Laney.

    It’s so saddening to hear this terrible news. I distinctly remember Robert from his time at Goldsmiths; he brought so much to us all, with his energy, his commitment, and his sense of giddy adventure. Don, you were of course a fundamental a part of the adventure of that time, and I’m sure that continued into your life together since. My profound condolences to you and to everyone close to Robert.

    I knew Robert from his time working with at Howard Fry Studios as a stylist. He was a very special, kind person, and my heart goes out to Don. I had lost contact with him for many years, but have always admired his talent. I have two of his paintings on my wall. I stumbled across this obituary by sheer coincidence.
