My precious friend Sharylin, words cannot even begin to describe how my heart is feeling right now. I was so blessed to have you in my life for the past almost 18 years and though many miles separated us, we still always kept in touch, shared many stories and laughs, OH MY GOD, your laugh, was so contagious my dear friend, your beautiful smile and upbeat positive attitude just radiated. I am going to miss you so much. For all of us that are so fortunate to have had you in our lives, the only comfort we have right now is the fact that we now have you as our Guardian Angel, and for that, I am so grateful. My loving and dear friend, may you RIP and if you see my dad, please tell him I love him and miss him. Wendy, I am just so very sorry for your loss. I just can’t even imagine the sadness in your heart right now but at the same time the peace of knowing your precious daughter was loved by so many and will NEVER be forgotten. I love you always and forever Sharylin!

You were strong Sharylin… and brave….sometimes I forgot you were even sick. When we chatted, you seemed more concerned about the more somewhat trivial things I would be going through and just lightly touched on you own challenges.
It was a pleasure knowing you… you will be missed…
    You’ll be forever my ‘Paparazzi’

Mrs Sherwood — It’s been over three decades since I moved away from Chatham but I’m so happy I never lost touch with Sharylin. We managed to stay in contact and though distance was great, I always felt connected with her and that is thanks to her warm, open and sharing heart. She fought a fierce battle but with humour and a positive spirit – so inspiring. I am so grateful to have known her. I wish her the deepest peace, and the deepest comfort to you and her step-children.

Wendy, I am so sorry that you have lost such a beautiful courageous daughter, she was so interested in everything and everybody around her, never a word of self pity. As she was fading away was still interested in my Facebook posts, especially about my grand daughters. A light has gone out, I will miss her wit and warmth, I’ll cherish her memory forever.

I consider myself blessed to have crossed paths with this beautiful soul. Sharylin always had a big smile and an even bigger laugh. My heart is so heavy, with the news of her passing. May she rest easy and peacefully, she was truly courageous.

To my special cousin Sharylin; it is hard to imagine you gone from our lives and now an angel! Who am I going to Skype with? I will miss you so much my lovely cousin. We even went to Vermont back in the 90’s and we spent a lot of time when you were in Peterborough. Thank you for your support and love and the special talks we had! It will not be the same without you. Will treasure my precious cousin and you surely were courageous. No words can describe the loss from our family. Wendy my thoughts and love are with you! See you soon

If anyone asks me the meaning of the word friend, I answer will be simple…SARYLIN.
Always willing to lend a hand even when she was not feeling well.
First visitor when both my children were born. Giving me her bed when I visited her in Richmond 2 summers ago. There was no use arguing, she was sleeping on the couch. Her reason, the couch was closer to the bathroom. But I knew the reason. Always the best for her friends. We had some good times strolling downtown Vancouver. Me pushing the wheel chair and nearly crashing down the steep streets. We laughed a lot.
My dear friend, I will miss you so much.
Wendy, my thoughts are with you during this sad time. A candle is burning in yours and Sharylin’s honour. God Bless
With love from the Montelpares. Cristina, Frank, David and Mannie
