DIY Funerals

Recently, CBC Radio One broadcast a series of conversations and interviews with a variety of folks, exploring the topic of DIY Funerals (Do It Yourself Funerals). I think it’s terrific that mainstream media is starting to learn more about and share information on this recent trend in funeral service. Too many people just don’t have enough information when they are faced with the death of someone close to them or even their own impending death.

Even if you don’t think DIY Funerals are your thing, learning about what’s involved will undoubtedly expose you to information and options you had no idea were even possible and who knows where that might lead to! So, be brave, have a listen, a read and a watch, and prepare to start thinking about one of the most important events in your life.
